URBANUS 都市实践

Based in Shenzhen, URBANUS 都市实践 structures academic institutes, design studios, and public cultural spaces around multi-level ground planes, carving out submerged courtyards and stacking vibrant, saturated volumes against cool orthogonal grids. This work serves as a strong reference when integrating active programmatic spaces onto roofs and below grade, or when breaking monolithic urban facades with high-contrast chromatic insertions.

Exterior courtyard with stepped seating, steel canopy arches, and brick walls by URBANUS.

深圳

An open-air public courtyard precedent featuring structural steel arch canopies and integrated stepped terraced seating, ideal for civic and tourist hub designs.

What we like about this project
The complex overhead arched canopy floats independently above the lower courtyard buildings, providing weather protection while maintaining open air circulation.
